Compress the chest
Kissing like the love of your life never left
Bleeding in a car park
Beaten half to death
By somebody you just met
(Do you feel anything yet?)
How clean,
Cutting off the clothes
(This is an emergency!)
Strong enough to drink
Deep enough to drown in
(Somebody do something!?)
It’s a charm
It’s a pleasure
Shaking hands and drawing daggers
A guarantee
I don’t believe.
I know better
It’s a trick
It’s a trap
The new car smell of the body bag
A maison d’être
I could never
Use myself
In good conscience
Or self defence
Mercy me
The paramedic won’t quit
It’s gonna cost some ribs
(Put your back into it!)
The heart is starved
Of the blood that you’re kneeling in
Finally,
An overnight stay in the hospital honeymoon suite
Pull out the IV
That you've been suffering
It’s a charm
It’s a pleasure
Shaking hands and drawing daggers
A guarantee
I don’t believe.
I know better
It’s a trick
It’s a trap
The new car smell of the body bag
A maison d’être
I could never
Use myself
In good conscience
Or self defence
Spending all your money on the court proceeding isn’t going to stop them leaving
One for your health, one for your problems, one for the way to solve them
House in order, your finances, hell is empty
Take your chances
It’s a charm
It’s a pleasure
Shaking hands and drawing daggers
A guarantee
I don’t believe.
I know better
It’s a trick
It’s a trap
The new car smell of the body bag
A maison d’être
I could never
Use myself
In good conscience
Or self defence

Resolve is one of the most underrated bands out there. They’ve evolved with each release writing songs that are more captivating than the last. Human clearly shows their range and capabilities - Nothing held back here. TeddyB
Romance of Affliction somehow makes an old genre feel brand new. Amazing. I would have swore this album was from 2005 if I didn't see with my own eyes it wasn't. SYSC takes everything good about mid-00s metalcore and brings it into the modern day, leaving behind the trash. It's a pure distillation of the genre with brilliant structure, pacing, and lyrics. The album ebbs and flows, letting emotions swell before punching in with some of the most intense passages I've heard in a while. rettisawesome
Saw Future Palace in support of Electric Callboy in Luxembourg and their energy and talent is absolutely amazing. Modern post hardcore with crystal clear production, pristine clean vocals and fierce screams. The atmosphere of tracks like Paradise and Defeating Gravity is exemplary and there are good heavy hitters, too. What elevates this band above genre colleagues is the strength, intensity and versatility of Maria's voice - unmatched for me. Run gets better with each spin. Listen to this! David Fischer
